Eat’N Park Joins Our Program!

Restaurants in Cranberry Twp Still Going Strong!!

Stopped by most of our Cranberry Twp restaurants today to make collections, and was not disappointed. Lone Star Steakhouse, one of our newest participants, had a huge bag waiting for us.  Bravo Cucina, as always, also had a big bag of crayons.  And thanks to Perkins, Max & Erma’s, and Quaker Steak n Lube, who all had significant numbers of crayons to donate today.

Website Launches!!

Though we’ve been doing this work for over a year and a half, the web development took a little bit longer.  Just as we have big plans for the organization itself, we have similar visions for this site. One day we hope to have interactive creative games for kids, as well as a great gallery filled with crayon art made by our future visionaries.

Found a really important friend at Atria’s in Wexford!

Stan was the manager of the very first restaurant, Red Robin in Cranberry Twp, to participate in our program. More than that, I was actually sitting at that restaurant when I came up with the idea for this organization. I was really bummed when I heard he had left the Red Robin company, but I just found him again at Atria’s on rte. 19

We’ve teamed up with The Education Partnership!!

The Education Partnership rocks! This non-profit provides FREE school supplies to the most financially challenged public schools in the Pittsburgh area.  Through our joint venture, NCLB is now able to distribute crayons directly to the most needy young students.  Our goal for the year — to provide 150,000 crayons!!


We had the honor of helping the RSVP!

We were really happy to donate some of our crayons to the 27th annual Recognition Luncheon held on Sept. 19th, 2012, by RSVP, the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program. The members of RSVP do amazing and humbling work, proving that there’s no age limit on kindness and generosity.  They set an example for all of us.
